human spirits because the Holy Spirit lives there, but they can allegedly “have demons in their brains, due to soulical wounds, sexual abuse, or ritual abuse.” [They should simply read 1 Corinthians 6:15-18 to see how they are lying to themselves and everyone else.] This is usually known as partial possession or demonic infestation, as opposed to demonic oppression from the outside, which does not reside in any of the three parts of a person: body, soul, or spirit,” (1 Ths. 5:23.) Þ In spite of all the protective commandments of God, in absolute disobedience to the Word and Spirit, most ‘deliverance’ ministries are totally radical in their attacks on possessed (or so-called ‘oppressed’) believers, which they call “spiritual warfare.” In occult fashion and contrary to all God’s Scriptural commandments on self-control, they “slay [kill] the person in the spirit.” The person then collapses into a helpless, empty-minded, trance-like state just as in the occult; dangerously surrendering his or her God-given free will to the ‘deliverer’ that ‘prays’ over him or her. It is not uncommon that such ‘patients’ lay incapacitated on the floor for hours, supposedly ‘communing with God’ while ‘the holy spirit and their personal angels’ allegedly do ‘a miraculous deliverance’ on ‘levels’ that proved too much or too deep for the ‘deliverers.’ From personal experience and knowledge of God’s Word I can honestly say, what these ‘experts’ do during ‘deliverance’ is bone-chilling recklessness against God, His contextual True Word, and gullible believers. The damage they do to people is indescribable. To their own, and especially to the detriment of their victims, teachers, pastors/ministers/priests, and prophets from all denominations or divisions of Christianity twist, abuse, and misinterpret all the declarations and commandments of Jesus. These so-called ‘expert deliverers’ and not-so-experts alike ignore Jesus’ Scriptural instructions concerning all things, because they believe His ‘old fashioned methods,’ (the will and work of the Holy Spirit, and the contextual truth of His Word,) are not enough anymore. They are actually saying, what Jesus commanded and the way the Holy Spirit works, do not really produce results — and do not manifest results that are ‘spectacular’ enough. Biblical obedience and the entire truth of God’s Word do not glorify the ‘deliverer’ like their impressive showmanship and false spiritual manifestations do. Therefore, real obedience to God’s Word will not make these ‘deliverers’ rich and famous. That is why most ‘expert deliverers’ resort to hypes such as dangling Roman Catholic crosses, (as the infamous Bob Larson in the photo at the top of the first page does,) shouting hysterically, and throwing frantic tantrums to scare the living daylights out of unsuspecting victims. Some even use little imagined ‘bows and arrows’ to shoot the demons out. One can imagine how the demons laugh at such ridiculousness! Apart from ‘slaying’ or killing their victims ‘in the spirit’ so that their unscriptural ‘holy spirit’ and ‘personal angels’ can ‘do their work,’ they resort to kicking, violently shaking, and even abusively kicking and hitting demons out of believers! Þ Among the many other atrocious things they commit against God and His blood-cleansed children, is to ‘do operations’ by supposedly commanding an angel, [only God can command His angels,] to remove the top of their victims’ skulls so that God can allegedly ‘extract demons from the strongholds in their brains.’ Then, they command their ‘angels’ to ‘sow it all together again.’ However, the Holy Spirit of the Bible is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient, and does not need occult tricks and showmanship, or familiar spirits pretending to be holy angels, to do His work, (2 Cor. 11:3-4, 13-14.) Refusing all such deliberate disobedience to His Word, Jesus commanded, “Nor by might, or by power, but by My Spirit...” Zech. 4:6. But in complete defiance of the Holy Spirit of the Bible, these ‘deliverers’ follow “every wind of doctrine.” As if personal faith in Jesus, the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, His blood-covenant, and the truth of His Word cannot set believers completely free, they force people to speak in tongues, (as if the signs and gifts of the Spirit can do what Jesus is incapable of doing) — even if they are only able to repeat one or two strange words or sounds, which can never be the flowing, free gift of tongues from the Real Holy Spirit, which He Alone gives as He wills, (1 Cor. 12:11.) Þ Why are they able to lead so many people astray? As most of them have masonic connections, they actually brainwash gullible believers to be so disobedient to Jesus’ protective commandments in His Word, that they can pull them into the occult. In reality, they are not interested in setting them free into the true Kingdom of God! (Read 1 Ths. 5:21-22; 1 Jn. 4:1-4.) It is important to realize that believers “are destroyed through a lack of knowledge” and by disobedience to the Truth, because they bow the knee to those who introduce themselves as priests, pastors, ministers, etcetera. It seems people do not know they must never submit to self-assumed, false spiritual authority, (Hos. 4:6; 1 Ths. 5:21; 1 Jn. 4:1-4.)
Bob Larson is a good example of how these ‘deliverers’ work Cicministry.org wrote, “Consider [secret Roman Catholic Jesuit] Bob Larson’s description of his ministry to a person in bondage. The person had numerous “alters” (multiple personalities) as well as ‘demonic bondage.’ This person with “dissociative identity disorder” had a demon called “Gatekeeper” who kept letting demons back in after they had [supposedly] been cast out. Larson describes the causes of such disorders and how he learned to speak to different identities within a person. He was dealing with a person who had alternate personalities called “Facilitator” and “Regulator.” Larson theorized that in this person demons could possess an “alter.” Larson explains: In the realm of multiple personalities, there are good alters and bad alters. [Like good and bad witches that are all supposedly ‘good?’] Good alters are the part of the person’s consciousness that has acknowledged Christ as Savior. [Lies, lies, lies! John 16:11 states that the devil and his demons are already judged! Some are already incarcerated in hell. The rest are also destined for the eternal lake of fire.] Bad alters, for one reason or another, refuse to make that spiritual surrender. This complex situation leads to the following action for the spiritual technician: “Our task is to sort through the maze to gain the assistance of the good alters. Then we can attempt to win the bad alters to God.’ Larson proceeded by allowing the “alternate personality” within his client help him identify the “dark ones” and go through an incredibly complex task of sorting out the demons and “alters” within this person. Larson then leads [the demon] Facilitator to Christ.” · Since when can demons be won to God? How is it possible that believers can fall for such occult-babbling rubbish? “Larson [also supposedly] uncovers hidden memories, [very dangerous New Age and other occult stuff,] legal ground that the demons had, [allegedly through so-called ‘ancestor sin,’] and the names of ‘obscure demons.’ Here follows a ‘prayer’ he uses to help the victim ‘find freedom:’ “I command that angels of God search out and torment the spirit of pain. I bind Pain and Regulator the demon, and command that both of them experience all the torment they’ve put on Adam. I increase that torment seven times greater.” Even people with superficial knowledge of the Scriptures can see that these practices are from the occult not the Bible. Apart from the fact that demons are inherent liars and deceivers, God Himself strictly forbade people to act as “mediums” and “spiritists,” who converse with demons, and invite evil spirits to use them as mouthpieces, (Jn. 8:44.) God commanded in Deut. 18:10-14, “There will not be found among you anyone who… practices witchcraft… a medium, or a spiritist, [who calls up and speaks to demons to gain information from them, and “works” through them,] or one who [pretends] to call up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord…” There is no such thing that anyone can speak to or call up the dead, because “the dead knows nothing of this life anymore.” In reality, these pretenders contact evil spirits that masquerade as disembodied human spirits; (Eccl. 9:5-6!) Bob Larson, his so-called ‘spiritual warfare team’ and all their affiliates are very dangerous people; blasphemously assuming God’s authority and Supreme Judgment over His creation and in particular, and over holy and fallen angels, while twisting and abusing God’s Holy Word to put demons inside people instead of supposedly “casting them out.” What’s more, Scripturally and practically, no one except God Himself can command His holy angels. Holy angels are obedient to God Alone and demons obey no one except Satan. In addition, no human being has God’s authority or power to torment anyone – especially not spiritual beings!
Occultism, Psychiatry, the Catholic clerical collar and stole, special anointing oils and ‘holy’ water… Since the establishment of Pentecostalism in the early 20th century, where signs and wonders took centre stage, ‘deliverance ministries’ of all kinds were suddenly spawn. (These believers mostly experience God through their unbiblical ‘baptism in the holy spirit with the so-called ‘evidence of speaking in tongues,’ not through the truth of His Word.) Their ‘deliverance ministries’ differ from Catholic exorcism in that they euphemise ‘demonic possession’ by calling it “spiritual oppression,” because they know very well that it is impossible to belong to God and the devil at the same time. They mostly operate during church services, allegedly casting out demons from believers publically and in most embarrassing and chaotic ways; making a real spectacle of those in need of true, Holy Spirit inspired prayer, Bible truth, and repentance, (Jam. 5:13-18.) Their many so-called ‘experts’ also commit their ‘deliverance’ destruction on unwary people in private; imitating the dogmas and methodologies of clinical physiologists and so-called ‘mentors’ like the Christian occultist Bob Larson. During the later years of these ‘ministries,’ even Calvinist, (Dutch and other Reformed) ministers, joined this ‘deliverance’ crusade. As seen in the photo of Bob Larson on the first page of this study, to keep in fashion with Roman Catholic exorcists, they even wear the “clerical collar and stole.” This type of ‘deliverance costume’ [how the demons must laugh at them!] is an old hand-me-down from Catholics to Presbyterians, to Baptists, to Pentecostals, and to every other church that indulges in such occultism - which proves the unifying of all churches under the banner of their spiritual ‘mother,’ the Roman Catholic Church. Þ Protestant ‘deliverers’ also use talismans, (demonically charged occult objects,) to supposedly cast out demons from their church members. They learn from one another and adopt each others’ practices enthusiastically. These include the ‘hyper-powered’ cross, ‘special’ anointing oils, crucifixes, Shofars, so-called ‘holy water,’ and their physical Bibles, (which they even use to ‘beat’ demons ‘out’ of people.) However, real anointing oil is ordinary oil and is never used in casting out demons, but in healing the sick and to set people apart for ministry. The oil itself does not have any power. It symbolizes, (with the sincere confession of abuse against each other, accompanied by the prayer of sincere believers,) that the Almighty Holy Spirit heals, (Jam. 5:14-18.) Blowing Shofars cannot accomplish anything except to bring people into the bondage of Messianic Judaism, which rejects the Jesus of the New Covenant, (Heb. 8:13.) And being totally unbiblical in the New Testament Covenant, Shofars can only call up demons, not God’s angels. Additionally, ‘holy’ water does not exist, as water is a mere creation of God. Symbolical references to water in the New Testament refers to Jesus or His Word, (Jn. 4:21-24,) but their ‘holy water’ is dedicated to the pagan, Christianized water god of Roman Catholicism. Þ Using the Bible as if the ‘Holy Book’ itself has ‘magic powers’ is also occultism. The Bible (the paper book itself) is not ‘holy’ or ‘especially anointed.’ It is, therefore, not a ‘powerful god-charged’ piece of paper or a ‘magic book’ that does miracles all by itself. It is the Most Holy Truth that is written on its pages, which becomes “spirit and life” (Jn. 6:63) once we personally believe and accept it as the Words of Jesus Christ Himself. We should, therefore, not revere the book itself as the ‘power’ and ‘holiness’ of God, which we can use like an occult object or talisman to protect, “deliver,” and do other miracles with. Some ‘expert ministries’ also tackle the problem of ‘deliverance’ through specific programs and Christian counselling. Similar to, and mostly based on Hindu and Buddhist New Age techniques and teachings, they probe the believer’s memory to find the underlying causes of problems to eliminate the demonic roots of behavioural, psychological, spiritual, financial, relationship and other problems. Hence, many call themselves Christian psychologists, while the impious teachings of physiology can never be reconciled with Jesus Christ and His true Word. Þ Just for clarity: This ‘counselling deliverance’ is about psychology and subliminal occultism, and does not include the power of sharing Scriptural Truth in Holy-Spirit leading, Godly love, and sincere fellowship. Jesus commanded us to “weep with those who weep” and “carry one another’s burdens, thus fulfilling the Law of Love.” To share our problems to pray, help, teach, comfort, correct, and support one another is Godly and Scriptural. To use any of these “deliverance” techniques, is occultism mixed with Bible verses.
Concerning the ‘slain-in-the-spirit’ chaos, drunk-in-the-spirit and all the other most embarrassing things that happen in churches and private ‘deliverance,’ we must know that the True Holy Spirit of the Bible will never violate His Word. Neither will He embarrass and humiliate us in public without good reason, (Mt. 18:15-20,) or use occult techniques to supposedly ‘deliver’ us. Jesus is the God of order not of chaos, and our human “spirits are subject to us,” or under our personal control, (1 Cor. 4:27-33.) Yet, it is frightening to see how people line up during church services for ‘deliverance;’ surrendering blindly to those laying hands on them, touching them, or waving their clothing over them to manifest raw anarchy among them, which is then either seen as the work of their chaotic ‘holy spirit,’ (2 Cor. 11:4,) or dealt with spectacularly in public as ‘deliverance’ of some kind. We must be careful who we allow to pray over us, lay hands on us, and embarrass us before the watching world. All the other madness aside, the laying on of hands have specific purposes in Scripture, which should only be done in clear Holy Spirit leading. When someone ungodly lays hands on us, he or she can transfer evil spirits to us. The opposite is also true: “Lay hands suddenly on no man… keep yourself pure,” (1 Tim. 5:22.) Þ I cannot emphasise it enough: God’s Word commands us to remain in control of our minds and thoughts as far as possible. That is why we must never surrender to false authority or get drunk in any way! We must “be vigilant” against the schemes of the evil one, watchful, sober minded, of a sound mind, single-minded, not surrender to false authority, and take captive our thoughts in obedience to God Alone. Our born again human spirits must be subject to us and not the other way round, and we must do everything “orderly,” (not stiffly or with religious exclusivity and hypocritical pride, which is the opposite of disorderly conduct.) God is not the author of confusion. Or, on the other hand, of the rejection and ‘quenching’ of the real gifts and power of the Spirit, (1 Pt. 5:8-9; 2 Tim. 1:7.) The Holy Spirit will lead us and empower us with His Scriptural gifts to do His will, but always according to the truth of His Word. He will never override our free will. He will build us up with His supernatural gifts and ministry, and through the Scriptural ministry of other true believers. But He will never overpower us and force us to surrender to unscriptural authority and the twisting of His Most Holy Word. The Real Holy Spirit is not the ringmaster of a church circus. He is the Creator of His entire universe. If we have unrepented sin in our lives, He will speak gently to us first, convincing and convicting us of all our sin against His Moral Law, (Jn. 16:8-12.) If we do not listen and remain disobedient, He will confirm His will through someone else or in some other way. If we remain unrepented even then, He will expose us in a civilized manner. In this way, the Holy Spirit will bring us to shame with the motive of leading us to repentance. But, if we stubbornly remain unrepented, He will expose us for the safety of other people, (Eph. 5:11; Mt. 18:15-20.)
THE BROKEN, CONFUSED, AND TRULY BOUND CARNAGE OF THESE ‘EXPERTS’ What about the supernatural experiences of those who were supposedly ‘delivered?’ Was it just their imagination? There can be no doubt that something strange and supernatural is going on here. These ‘deliverers’ are playing dangerous games with the devil and his demons while gambling with the souls and lives of Jesus’ blood-cleansed believers. There is no doubt that the Sovereign, Omnipotent Holy Spirit does miracles. And of course, He also uses the mighty ministry of His holy angels, who are always under His direct command and never under ours. Nevertheless, we place ourselves in dreadful spiritual, soulical, and physical danger if we disobey God, Who commands that we must never accept any spiritual teaching or manifestation at face value. We must always “test and prove the spirits [or their teachings and manifestations] to see whether they are of God,” (1 Ths. 5:21; 1 Jn. 1:1-4.) The devil usually turns himself into an angel of light to deceive the unwary and disobedient to gain a foothold in their lives, (2 Cor. 11:3-15.) By believing false doctrine and accepting the works of false spirits, our “minds can [actually be so] corrupted… [That,] if one preaches another Jesus… or if we receive another [‘holy’] spirit, or another gospel, we may very well put up with it!” (Gal. 1:6-10; 3:1.) Þ This is why we can say, due to their extreme abuse of Scripture and their use of the occult to justify their practices, these so-called ‘deliverers’ are not under the control of the Holy Spirit of the Bible, and they are not ‘commanding’ God’s holy angels — which is totally impossible as God’s holy angels only submit to God Himself, (Ps. 103:20.) Þ These ‘deliverers’ are using the power of strange spirits on unwary believers. What they are doing is dangerously real. It is noteworthy that just because its ‘supernatural,’ does not mean it comes from the Highest Creator, God, and Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ. Despite the obvious kundalini or demonic power they use, they also use physiological techniques that seem supernatural to their ‘patients.’ Yet, these techniques can be pure ‘mind over matter,’ with a secret demonic undertone. Some of their most common practices are auto-suggestion and the placebo effect. Such ‘effects’ originate from the natural brain, but unknowingly to many people, they are mostly steered by demons. The evil one will not pass up on such golden opportunities to deceive believers — and of course, unbelievers as well. God allows “strong delusion” over people who “do not have a love for the truth... so that they should believe the lie,” (2 Ths. 2:9-12.) Therefore, submitting to any form of deception is always a very serious matter. The Placebo Effect happens naturally when a phony treatment with a ‘placebo’ such as salt, sugar, or vinegar improves a problem simply because the person believes it will heal him. Auto-suggestion is another natural technique, abused by the occult, to “program the mind” for ‘the reality’ of a suggested happening, which the person then believes with astounding results. So, seriously “suggesting” that the believer has demons inside him, can trigger intense feelings of being controlled by indwelling supernatural forces while the demons might be outside him, laughing themselves into stitches. We can make ourselves believe anything once we fall under the spell of illusionists and believe they possess special powers — and, of course, the work of that great magician the devil is never excluded from any type of deception. Hence, Paul wrote in Gal. 3:1, “O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth…” So, if that ‘deliverer,’ whom you respect and trust, states that demons are living in you and he is “casting them out” — while you are actually believing it contrary to the truth of God’s Word… Well, who knows what the devil can make you believe you are experiencing, as you open yourself to the “power of suggestion?” The devil is a dangerous showman and liar. If you believe his demons are living in you, (and only you know how sincere your relationship with Jesus was and is,) they will show all kinds of signs to ‘prove’ that they are living in you. See how dangerous these people and their father the devil are, once we step out from under the protective Truth of God’s Word? Satan never plays games — except to trap us in a prison where he tortures and, with God’s permission, even murders us. Jesus warned, “[Don’t be fooled,] the thief [never] comes but to steal, kill, and destroy. But [praise our Father in heaven,] for I have come that [you] may have life, [freedom, salvation, and blessing,] and that [you] may have it more abundantly,” (Jn. 10:10.)
“I have Strayed far Away from Jesus and Want to Return to Him — is it Possible after what I’ve done?” Many believers ask, “I have strayed from Jesus by going to ‘deliverers’ to ‘help’ me with my problems. And now I am totally destroyed. They have done terrible things to me, which I do not understand. Although I had to confess all my sins over and over again, problems that left me after I first gave my life to the Lord, have now come back to haunt me with a vengeance. Things that I never had problems with, are suddenly manifesting physically as well as in my mind. I do not have a moment’s rest for my soul. Darkness surround me all the time and I cannot sleep. Terrible lust, anger, unforgiveness, fear, and hopelessness are all over me. I am foul, worthless, lonely, and lost. I cannot pray or read my Bible and if I do, I cannot understand what I am reading. Filthy thoughts as I have never experienced before, condemnation, and confusion have taken control of my mind. I am worse off now than I’ve ever been. I know I must return to God somehow, but I don’t know how. I don’t think He will ever forgive me and accept me again. The devil refuses to let go of me no matter what I do.” If the “victim” was merely a church attendee and not really personally born again through faith in Jesus, most of those problems will be resolved once the person understands Jesus’ true Gospel, sincerely accept Him, and make a deep commitment to follow Him as His disciple, (Jn. 8:12.) The way forward will then be to be baptized in water as His disciple, (if it was never done before,) and to constantly “renew” the ‘mind,’ or thoughts and beliefs, by systematically understanding and ingesting the contextual truth of God’s Word, (Rom. 12:1-2.) Þ Another problem is that such terribly confused and really oppressed believers find it difficult if not impossible to believe that, if they were sincerely committed to Christ, (no matter the confusion that got hold of them,) the demons were not living in them. It is hard for them to see that they have not committed the “unpardonable sin.” But if they did, they would not be so tormented, and they would not desire so strongly to “return to Christ.” Whatever happened during those visits to “deliverers,” if believers sincerely return to Jesus, He will deal with all the demonic control, harassment, and manifestations they experience. It might take some time as we do not progress in spiritual understanding and maturity at the same pace, (Mt. 25:14-30.) Problem is, they now find it hard to believe that Jesus will forgive their sins. They believe it is impossible to return to Him without the external fuss of ‘exorcism.’ Of course, the devil is simply lying to them again. But if you choose to believe that demons are (or were) living in you, they will ‘prove’ to you it is true, although it could have been just another satanic hoax. What does it matter now if they could have been inside you? Here, at this moment, as you sincerely return to Jesus, you have the grace of God to fall at His feet and they can do nothing about it.
